Here is a rare bitters bottle for J. Russak from Kosten Posen, Germany. Alfred Russak was the sole proprietor of the firm and travelled all over the world to exhibit and win awards for his bitters recipe. The place names embossed on the bottle are where this bitter recipe won awards. This bottle has to win the award for the most place names embossed on a bottle, even including Adelaide!!

Ring seal on long neck which tapers in towards body, shouldered square, chamfered sides, plain base with large circular recess.

This bottle has no cracks or large chips, some flea bites to edges and some stress lines and bubbles within glass in neck seal. A small impurity in one flat side and general staining within and to Russak embossing.

Measures 22.5cm tall and 7cm square at base.
