There are quite a lot of light marks to this vinyl...After I gave her a ultrasonic clean, I listened to the whole album...
The audio was good and strong-even clear...not much background noise at all.
I noticed some background crackle on Eleanor Rigby as well as some through Love You To and Here, There and Everywhere, but I didn't find it offensive-it just reminded me I am listening to a VERY 1st PRESSING of an iconic album from 1966!...Side 2 was lovely...Tomorrow Never Knows still blows me away as I think it is STILL way before it's time and this copy blasts this track out with clarity and vigour-later arrived the more well known mix.
Not many of these around anymore and getting less and less every year, with the rare and later replaced Tomorrow Never Know remix 11.
When playing side 1, I noticed a very slight edge wobble-VERY slight...When turning over and playing side 2, this was not evident at all..It had zero effect on playback.
NO JUMPS
NO SKIPS
NO STICKS

Labels:
EX-
NO WRITING

As you can see in the detailed images provided, the labels remain strong and clean..no writing or lifting.
Minimal central hole wear, with just light spindle marks, visible when angled to the light
"SOLD IN THE U.K." central text.
"THE GRAMOPHONE CO.." rim text.

"DR. ROBERT" on the side two label.

Sleeve:
EX!

Wonderful strong and clean sleeve here!
**IT IS THE MUCH RARER EJ DAY SLEEVE**
These sleeve were produced to keep up with demand at a ratio of around 1 for every 10 Garrod & Lofthouse sleeves.
The condition of this sleeve has elegantly survived the test of time-remaining white to the front and with minimal rubbing to the back card...Really is superb.
The Angled Ernest J Day flipbacks are in great shape as is the perfectly legible spine and only slightly rubbed corners.
It is even more rare as the credit to 'ERNEST J. Day' is exactly that-rather than the more common 'EJ Day' credit.

NO SPLITS
NO WRITING

Bright white REVOLVER title to the back and small mono to the front laminate.

Inner:
**NEAR MINT**

Original VERY 1st "Use Emitex" inner with the much rarer "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" statement to the bottom left corner.
SUPERB condition with heavy-weight paper and poly-lining.
Just light paper discolouration through age-like me ;)

ALL IN ALL THIS IS A COMPLETE PACKAGE WITH THE RARER MIX OF TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS.
RARE ERNEST J DAY SLEEVE.
WITH THE ORIGINAL PATENTS APPLIED FOR EMITEX INNER
