Covers all defenses to 1 d4.  Moskalenko is a personal favorite: games well chosen, lightly annotated, key tactics and ideas highlighted in sidebars, detailed analysis set aside so easy to skip when wanting to review the main stuff, and often suggests new moves!   This is the only book you'll need to play 1 d4 correctly, but there is a lot of material to digest.  I keep my copy handy.   Figurine algebraic notation.  Index of variations, players.  Bibliography.  367 large pages.
