In the publisher's original pictorial cloth fine binding, in 469 pages. Top edge of the pages are gilt.

There is some shelfwear, the spine covering is worn/split at some edges, and the top and bottom of the spine is worn. There is very light scattered foxing to the first and last three leaves. There are no previous owners' names or inscriptions. The plates are bright, fresh and crisp - pristine. There are no missing, stained, damaged, creased or loose pages. The block and binding are solid. It is complete and original.
