Description:  It is an original antique map approximately 177 years old, blank on reverse, with embossed plate marks in the margin.  It is from an 1847 edition of Stieler's Hand Atlas, published in Gotha by Justus Perthes, a copy of the title page is included, see pic.  of 1841 printed in the title area.Stieler's Hand Atlas appears in the top right margin. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single map as seen in the first pic. Overall, a rare and beautiful map with no centerfold. This map is from a rarer elongated edition, thus they have no centerfold and will frame up nice and flat.  

Size: The map image measures approximately 11 by 13 inches (28x34cm)  on a 14 1/2 by 17 1/2" page (37x45cm)

Condition: The map is in Good to Very Good condition, blank on reverse, printed on a heavy paper. There are some handling smudges mainly in the bottom margin, plenty of clean margin for matting, otherwise the map area is very clean and would frame up well. The pics are of the actual map, although the actual map looks much better.
