Without any ifs or buts, the Magirus round hood is considered the great fire service classic of the first two post-war decades. The mighty, rounded alligator hood looks so impressive and full of character precisely because it shows the contours of Ulm Minster in the radiator grille oval. With the start of the series of traffic models, WIKING succeeded early on in miniaturizing the striking driver's cab in a friendly way - the unmistakable signature of WIKING master model builder Alfred Kedzierski. In the same way, in the era of glazed miniatures, a new generation of round hoods followed, which was also so successful because at that time countless fire departments across the country ordered their vehicle fleet for the future from the fire service traditionalist Magirus in Ulm. Of course, this also included turntable ladders, which WIKING took as a model and also implemented the short squad cabin. The fact that the model makers struck a chord with buyers was due to the fact that the turntable ladder was not only rotatable, but also extendable in three parts. Play value could also be in 1:87.
