This vintage oil and vinegar cruet set features a hand-painted whimsical rooster and roses pattern on a glossy multicolor ceramic bottle. The cruet set is made by Ucagco, an original mid-century modern brand known for their art pottery production style and hand-painted techniques. The set includes two cruets, measuring 8 inches in height and 2.5 inches in width, and were made in Japan during the 1950s.
The Vinegar cruet has the Ucago sticker on the base; the Oil cruet has the remnants of a sticker. The handle on the Vinegar cruet has been expertly repaired - see last two pictures. The inside of both are very clean.
