◎Dynamic balancing device for use with 3000 series tone arms such as SME 3009(Series II),(Series II imp),(-R), 3010-R, 3012(Series II),(-R) without modifying the arm itself. ◎The principle and effect are the same as the dynamic balance type tone arm of Ortofon, FR, IKEDA, etc., which use springs for the balance system. ◎Static balance applies needle pressure by weight imbalance, whereas dynamic balance uses a spring to force the needle against the surface of the board, so it traces the unevenness of the sound groove more reliably. ◎This is an unprecedented 3-way device that can be used in static balance with zero needle pressure, or a mix of dynamic and static balance. ◎The operation of the Inside Force Canceller, Lateral Balancer, Arm Lifter, etc. remains the same as usual. ◎Adjustment of needle pressure is limited to the use of a needle pressure gauge, but precise adjustment is possible from light needle pressure to heavy needle pressure. The 3009 series can apply a needle pressure of up to approximately 9g, and the 3012 series can apply a needle pressure of up to approximately 6.5g. The needle pressure adjustment screw and spring base are made of engineering plastic, which has excellent mechanical strength and wear resistance.

◎Set the needle pressure adjustment screw so that it is vertical by using the flat head screw on the teardrop type rotating shaft section, and fix the spring pedestal so that the spring is aligned directly under it. ◎Black double-sided tape is attached to the bottom of the spring pedestal that matches the shape of the tone arm, but spare double-sided tape is also included. The spring has been kept at the same needle pressure for a long period of time in our equipment and there are no durability issues with the spring. The dynamic balance of the needle has improved the tracking performance of a large warped vinyl disc, and the amount of information, resolution, elasticity, and strength of the low frequency range are superior, and the sound quality tends to be thicker, which seems to contribute to the reduction of distortion.
