The original dust jacket is clean with minimal wear along top and tail of dust jacket, however there is a small red mark to upper right hand corner of rear dust jacket panel. Signed to title page by John Boyne and numbered 489/1000 copies. It has not been price clipped and displays the original price tag ‘£10.99.’ It has an outer band stating ’SIGNED AND NUMBERED LIMITED EDITION’, however there is a small tear in at the corner.

The exterior boards are clean with minimal wear along top and tail of spine. Spine is straight and is tightly bound. The interior papered boards are clean. All pages are clean and tightly bound. No spillage, marking or underlining within text. Grey covered hard boards with black lettering on spine. Please make reference to attached images on listing.

Overall the book is in very good condition and would make a great addition to a John Boyne collection.

The story of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is very difficult to describe. Usually we give some clues about the book on the back cover, but in this case we think that would spoil the reading of the book. We think it is important that you start to read without knowing what it is about.

If you do start to read this book, you will go on a journey with a nine-year-old boy called Bruno. (Though this isn't a book for nine-year-olds. And sooner or later you will arrive with Bruno at a fence.
