Tone the Gods is a pre-gain and boost / drive pedal board in one pedal with a switching system that changes the circuits to merge together as one pedal and using one power input to rule them all.

We all know how a pedal board is laid out. Guitar, pedals, then an amp. That’s the general rule of thumb. This is what the Tone of The Gods pedal is. A Guitar, PREAMP pedal, then GRIND pedal, then High Voltage Boost Pedal, then Amp. 

That’s it! 

Tone of the Gods is three renowned tone circuit types used by many of the top professional guitar players, yet for the first time, all existing in the same pedal together.

The journey to bring these three circuits together in one enclosure has been a very long phase of testing many circuits side by side, and also, testing circuits that complement each other when used together.

The vision was to create a pedal that has the adjustability of tone and drive control that allows the player to hit “the sweet spot” of the top guitar legends. Not to imitate their tones, like a digital unit may do, but to actually create a Pre-Amp / Grind (overdrive) and High head room Boost section that will take “your own guitar rig” into that raw zone the pro players use for absolute stunning drive and sustain with just the right amount of breakup, saturation, compression, etc. There are many pedals on the market that try to create a type of tone, like slashes number 34 amp and others, and they indeed sound pretty good at bedroom levels, yet when you crank up the tube amps output volume to higher levels or even to concert levels, they often lose most of that signature tone they were trying to imitate, the pedals signature tone becomes lost in the volume. This is because the head room of those pedals is very low and the pedal is trying to do all the work without factoring in the amp. With the Tone of The Gods Pedal, we designed the pedal to get fantastic bedroom tones, and also with the absolutely massive head-room this pedal has, the fantastic tones remain throughout the volume range, and right up into the big concert hall levels. 

A couple of legends many people commonly have in mind in regards to perfect crunch tones are the likes of Angus Young, Slash using his #34 Marshall, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, among many other players. We wanted to achieve a pedal circuit combination that has a wide adjustability, for perfecting serious sustain and grit, and also one of the very best clean boost and blues pedals you have ever used for single coils and humbuckers alike. We were not only wanting to create a certain tone, we wanted to create a pedal with just the right tunability that it would create multiple accurate tunings of many famous guitar rigs, and yet have further adjustment to fine tune your own personal rig, to make sure you got as close as possible to the legendary tones, at either concert volumes or bedroom volumes. 

To achieve these results, we reverse engineered many different pedal circuits so to have accurate tone measurements of each, yet with any adjustments made that didn’t take us away from the original circuits tone when the original style circuits were used in their stock settings by themselves. This was important, because we wanted the ability to make sure we could tune the pedal to exact original tone specs when needed, and then add extra circuit changes so to expand their own features, to raise the bar even further. We always knew that any original legendary tone circuit could be made even better, so that’s what we did. 

The refinements and any enhancements over any original circuits were done so they would combine with the other channels next to them perfectly. We have also added a Master Volume to the pedal that allows you to have total control over the overall output of the pedal when you are circuit stacking, i.e. if you are using either one, or two, or all three of the channels / circuits at the same time. The Master Volume can be switched on, or hard bypassed out of the circuit, which will be discussed more later. Also, within this process, we upgraded the switching system for

each circuit with extreme long-life relay switching that is click-less, a much better setup than the usual clunky stomp switches that many pedals still use today. Also, the switches, if they ever do need replacing, have been made super easy to do so.

Note: This pedal does not come with an adapter. You will need a good quality boss style 9volt Negative Centre with 300mA+ output. It will not run on batteries due to its high internal voltage.
