Description: It is an original antique engraved map with the plate marks embossed in the margins and original handcoloring. It is from M. Malte-Brun's Atlas de la Geographie Universelle (Paris: Garnier Feres Editors, c. 1860). A copy of the title pages is included. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. A beautiful map!
Size: The map image measures approximately 9 by 12 inches on a 12 by 16" page with a wide margin of over an inch all around for matting.
Condition: The map is in Very Good or better condition with overall tonal aging and original hand color. There is a short inch tear in the margin that has been professionally repaired on the reverse, otherwise it is very clean and would frame up nicely. The pics are of the actual map.
