This is a treasure… a child’s Civil War Uniform … Decorated well to do higher up ranking officers such as, Generals at the time would have their uniforms cloned for their child in the likeness of theirs for status. This is impressive…. It is so well made all original 160+ years old. I have had it on display in my home and it is amazing. It is in almost perfect condition for age even the old lace they used around the neck & the double breasted coat this is exquisite. I have never seen such beauty. I wish I had the original photo of the little child who wore this. Fathers and Grandfather’s at that time wanted people to know their child was brought up right with respect for our Country this was their way of showing it. The dress is lined and all is made of correct period fabrics, right down to the buttons. Looks to have been kept right and untouched all these years the quality is impeccable. For the collector who has it all this is priceless.
