 The bronze's production process

The swordsman statue was the result of many meetings with Mr Tabata and a lot of hard work.

Several revisions were made under the detailed advice of a Kendo Expert, which Mr Tabata was happy to accommodate.

  Isao Tabata

Isao Tabata is one of the largest and most respected statue artists, having created more than 800 Statues of Bronze, Buddhist and large station Monuments. He is a member of the biggest and most famous "Nitten" Jury in Japan.

Musashi 

Early Edo period swordsmith, military strategist and artist in the service of the feudal lords. Founder of the Niten Ichiryu school of military arts, which used two swords famous for his battles with the Yoshioka clan of Kyoto and his duel with Sasaki Kojiro on Ganryujima Island.

 In later generations, he has been the subject of various visual works, including plays, novels, manga, films and anime, and in modern times he is referred to as a 'swordsman' or 'sword saint'.
