Close-up extension tube compatible with almost all EF lenses, including EF-S lenses. Simply attach it between the camera body and the lens for convenient high-magnification shooting. Equipped with eight electronic contacts, the AE function operates as usual during shooting. The magnification ratio varies depending on the lens. Additionally, there are some lenses that are not compatible with its use.
An extension tube is a tool employed in close-up photography. By extending the lens further, it reduces the minimum focusing distance, enabling larger subject capture. However, it's worth noting that attaching the tube prevents shooting at infinity due to its mechanics. This sets it apart from a teleconverter (extender)
