Jean Paul GAULTIER 55-5102 Vintage Eyeglasses Frames Earrings Two-Point Gaultier


Jean Paul Gaultier vintage eyeglass frames.
I currently have prescription lenses.
The size is about 13.1cm wide (from outside of hinge screw part to outside) x 3.6cm long. (Please forgive some errors as these are amateur measurements taken with a ruler.)


There are three body piercing motif parts on each temple.
In addition, although you probably wouldn't notice at first glance, the hinge side of the body piercing is decorated with a nut motif and the modern side uses a spring, which I think is quite unique.
I think these glasses go beyond vintage and are more like antiques, and the shape of the armor is reminiscent of a full view type frame.
I've written a lot about it, but I think most people will feel that the motif of the earrings is eye-catching, and the nut design is woven in naturally without any sense of incongruity, so it's not as noticeable as what I've written.
The color is shiny gold, and the earrings are matte gold.
The spring attached to the earring's modern side is a matte silver, but I don't know whether it was originally gold and turned silver due to aging, or whether it was always silver.

This is a used item and there is some wear on the temple tips and nose pieces, scratches on the bridge and temples, and tarnish on the spring-like part that holds the piercing ornament on the temple and the head of the screw that holds the lens in place.
It doesn't seem to be in very good condition, but considering it's a used item from 20 to 30 years ago, I think it falls into the fairly clean category.
