This listing features a figural West African bellows made of carved wood and leather in the shape of women. Details include a white and red painted face and two holes carved out at the leg ends. This item is from an extensive collection of cultural items amassed from visits to Asian & African in  the 1970s - 1990s.

Note: last photo is a screenshot of  the 2019 Williams College magazine cover with a photo showing a very similar bellows along with the title Ethnography and Art.  The bellows shown on the cover was a donation to the school from Suzanne Bach, a retired collector and dealer in African art.

See my other listing for a large estate collection of African and Asian items collected over a lifetime.
