Vladimir Vasilyevich Sachkov 1928

Poster artist Vladimir Vasilyevich Sachkov was born on April 30, 1928 in Penza. His childhood and school years were spent there.

After graduating from the Penza Art College. A.K. Savrasov in 1948 was admitted to the Moscow State Art Institute. IN AND. Surikov, studied at the Faculty of Graphics under the guidance of professors N.A. Ponomarev and M.M. Cheremnykha. the latter stood at the origins of the Soviet poster and was the creator of "Windows of GROWTH" together with V.V. Mayakovsky.

       After graduating from the institute in 1945, V.V. Sachkov began working in various publishing houses in Moscow, including the magazine "Crocodile".

       In the future, Vladimir devoted himself entirely to working on the poster.

In 1950-1960 he created film posters for many films, such as "The Twelve Chairs", "Soldier Ivan Brovkin", "Mimino", "Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath", "Quiet Don", "Stalker" , "Big Life".

       In the 1970s and 1980s, the socio-political poster became the main thing in Sachkov's work. He actively collaborated with the publishing houses Fine Arts, Agitplakat and Plakat.

       Some of the most famous works of this period: "In the storm of storms whirling flames" (1966), "Winter morning" (1969), "September 1 - to school" (1970), "Five-year plan of quality - our labor victory" (1975), "Good care - income for the collective farm".

        Vladimir Sachkov was constantly in demand in this genre due to his high professionalism and taste.

     A wonderful, talented draftsman, he devoted his work to the glorification of the Fatherland, the army, navy, sports, space and other aspects of the life of a working person and country. In addition to posters in the work of V.V. Sachkov has landscapes, still lifes, portraits and sketches.
