Vintage / antique hand crank butter churn.  Unusual design with wood handle and thumb hole for better stability.  Aluminum paddles.  Inside of churn is in very good condition.  Very clean.  The top of the jar has a couple of minor chips (see photo) the lid seals nicely.  Lid has a bit of rust but can be cleaned.  This was my grandmother's then my mother's butter churn.  It got a lot of use and worked great.  It has been sitting on the shelf for many years.  It is time to move on.
