Weiser DA5170A6 Aristocrat Weiserbolt Door Lock

Weiser DA5171A6 Aristocrat knob Weiserbolt. Antique Brass US6 609 finish. Lock cylinder is 5 pin WR5 Weiser keyway. Lock chassis with keys only, does not include latch, strike plate, mounting screws or installation instructions. The Weiserbolt was Weiser's solution to only having one lock hole in the door and being able to have a latching and deadbolting lock in one unit. The idea was to have a regulur door lock that latches and then by turning the key or inside thumbturn it would extend the latch into a deadbolt. Note: these locks are first generation Weiserbolts and sometimes had issues when the user tried to rekey or change the handing of the lock. We are selling these as new but if you are not familier with the design or are just looking for an easy to install lock we would discourage you from buying this particular lock. They are more of a curiosity now. Note: Although these locks are new and unused they have been on our shelf for 40 years and will need to be cleaned of the dried up grease that Weiser used and re-greased and lubricated. This is the classic Weiser design made in the USA and is no longer available. Kwikset now owns what is left of Weiser and the Weiser available now is of Kwikset design and imported. Includes 2 keys.
