This exquisite piece is an original watercolour by the renowned artist Eileen A Soper. The artwork depicts a stunning & fun scene of rockhopper penguins  making it a must-have for any nature enthusiast or admirers of her work. The piece is mounted and framed. The frame meaures 42cm in height and 35cm wide while the image is 34.5cm high x 27.5cm wide. The artwork is signed by the artist, adding to its authenticity and value.

There is a small watermark at the top of the picture which I assume was made during the painting process. There are a few small scuff marks on the frame but nothing that detracts from the artwork. Please inspect the photos.

Eileen Alice Soper (1905-1990)was an English artist . She was the youngest ever exhibitor at the Royal Academy at 15yrs old. She was the illustrator of 50 books for Enid Blyton in particular the Famous Five. She also wrote & illustrated her own books. I'm unsure as to when she painted the penguin watercolour but it maybe from the 1950's or later as that was when she began her wildlife illustrations. The tape at the rear of the frame is getting a bit tatty but I can put some fresh tape on if required.
