Up for sale is a Stanley Bailey #5 wood plane with Sweetheart markings (type 13) in good, working condition. That dates it to somewhere around 1920-1935

It somehow survived with minimal wear so I went ahead and tuned it up for out of the box use.

All bare metal surfaces were lightly sanded on a Brown & Sharpe surface plate to get them as true as possible.

The iron was sharpened with a roller style sharpening jig on the same plate with 1500 wet/dry sandpaper.

The tote is nice but the knob has a small piece missing near the base. It can be turning inside for display purposes but overall it’s fairly small.

It also has some old paint drips which can be removed if needed.

I don’t have much wood on had but it did make some pretty fine curls on a painted 2x4 I had in the garage.
