Unique Statue of Hathor Goddess of Heaven Love in Ancient Egyptian Antiques BC

Item Description

Hathor is the goddess of the sky, love, beauty, money, happiness, music, and fertility. She was named in ancient times by the name Bat and was found on the Narmer stela. She was symbolized by the cow Omniah. Her worship took place between the city of Al-Ashmunin near Fayoum and the city of Abydos near Sohag.

An ancient Egyptian deity. Her companions sometimes made her look like a cow, and sometimes like a woman with cow ears or two horns on her head. She was a symbol of righteous motherhood for them. Her name, Hathor, meaning the house of poplars or the sanctuary of poplars, indicates this. She is the one who took home the orphan Horus, son of Isis, and nursed him and protected him. Thus, she became a mother to him and to all nature as a symbol of heaven. Then they made her a shepherd of the dead, and inhabited her spirit with the sycamore trees planted near their graves. Then they made her appear from the branches as a body that sent rain and gave drink to the thirsty of those who lay in the barns of death. Imagine that she sometimes roams the desert west of the Nile in the form of a lioness to protect the graves there. Its name still lives on in the name of the third month of the Coptic year (Hatour) and is included in the modern Egyptian calendar.
