CIRCA 1510 ORIGINAL HANDWRITTEN VELLUM MANUSCRIPT 

FROM AN IMPORTANT CHOIRBOOK OR HYMNAL

More than half a millennium old

An extraordinary piece - would look striking framed. It comprises one leaf / two pages measuring a very large 27" x 19.7" (68cm x 50cm). 

This Latin leaf is from a choirbook or hymnal manuscript. It is on vellum. The size of this leaf is extraordinary and would have been created for an important cathedral in Europe. This would have been used by a large choir so it could be read from a distance. 

There are two large decorated initials - "C" measuring 11cm x 11.5cm, and "E" measuring 9.5cm x 11cm.

In remarkable very good condition with bright colours still present. There are no tears, chips, or annotations. It is an original piece.
