Description:

This is the first edition of Graham Greene's 3rd children's book "The Little Horse Bus", published in 1952. It has wonderful colour illustrations throughout by Dorothy Craigie. The narrative unfolds around Mr. Potter, the neighborhood grocer, whose fortunes take a downturn when a new rival sets up shop directly opposite his store. Numerous escapades ensue, leading to a fortunate twist of fate for Mr. Potter by the story's conclusion.

Condition:

Fair Condition. Red cloth boards with gilt stamped design to front board. Decorated end papers. Illustrations throughout. Front hinge is cracked casuing boards to be loose. Binding is firm and pages are clean with no scribbles. Boards have moderate edge-wear with minor scuffing to corners and small split to spine head. Boards are bowed and there is a small dark stain to front board.
