Two images of this 63-year-old first edition, published in Calcutta, are shown below. It is: Across the Golden Heights of Assam and NEFA, by J. D. Baveja, Published in Calcutta by Modern Book Depot, 1961, first edition. This book measures 8 3/4" x 5 1/2" and is 147 pages plus five pages of advertisements. It is in Very Good condition with a former-owner's name on the front free endpaper, with some darkening along-with a 1" separation at the top spine edges, and with some gentle overall wear. There are twelve pages of halftone photographs (e.g., please see image #2 below); they are printed on glossy paper and in Fine condition. An 18" square, line drawing, fold-out map of Assam and NEFA is attached to the rear endpaper. It is in Very Good condition with some creases and is in its original condition with no tears, no tape repairs, etc. The dust jacket (image #1 below) is not price-clipped (no price is stated) and is in protective mylar. It is in Very Good condition with a 5" x 3" x 3" chip along the top edge, with a few much-smaller chips, and with some gentle wear. Regarding the book, there is no former-owner's bookplate inside, no foxing, and there are no loose pages. It will be shipped in a solid new box anywhere in the United States via USPS Media Mail for free.
