K&B 3.5 ABC 1/8 Car Racing Engine Vintage!

One hot K&B from sunny California!

A vintage 70's world champ racing engine featuring 2-piece crankcase (easier to service), front induction & rear exhaust configuration, schnuerle ported ABC PSA (aluminium piston in true hard chrome plated brass sleeve with double boost ports), hardened steel crankshaft in dual high speed ball bearings, horizontal finned heat-sink cylinder head & the twin outlets exhaust.

The K&B 3.5 was by far the most powerful "out of the box" 3.5cc engine ever produced by any manufacturer.  The aero version (less powerful than the car version) was the first 3.5cc 2-stroke model engine to produce more than 1 bhp (0.88 bhp at 22,000 rpm with a 5mm ID Perry micro carb).

Tech Specs (from K&B):
Displacement: 3.48cc
Bore: 16.51mm
Stroke: 16.26mm
*Power: 0.88bhp at 22,000rpm
Peter Chinn, MAN Engine Review, Dec 1977, K&B 3.5 Aero 8380

Condition wise, this engine is new & turns over smoothly with tight pinch towards the top of the stroke.  The patina & burnish reflect its age.  This engine comes with shelf worn box, generic K&B instructions, decals & the exhaust with double outlets.  These Car engines were supplied without RC carbs by K&B.  The vintage new Perry RC carb & flywheel with clutch assembly shown in the photos are included for free for the winning bidder.  The K&B crankshaft is uncut.

International bidders are welcome!  Shipping worldwide at cost with tracking number.

The K&B 3.5 ABC Car; perfect for the vintage 1/8 circuit car & collector of the finest engines!

About the new "ebay payments" interface just introduced by ebay & its effect on dispatch time
We all got used to ebay purchases with PayPal payments, that cleared immediately, resulting in fast dispatch.  Ebay have now introduced "ebay payments".  Ebay are saying "The payout will generally be initiated within 2 business days from the order confirmation. Once initiated it typically takes up to 4 business days for the funds to clear in your account and become available to you".  Thusly, this new "ebay payments" interface could add up to 6 working days to dispatch time compared to the aforementioned PayPal payments.  I imagine somebody somewhere will get a bonus for this.  This new payments thingy forced upon us (you can't opt-out of it) has therefore added 5 working days to my dispatch time.  Please bear this in mind before placing your bid.
