A superbly preserved 19th century daguerreotype photograph of a lady in elegant dress wearing a bonnet. Dignified expression and pose. The photograph is very sharp and has a mirror like appearance when viewed at an angle. So much so that (fun fact) when I acquired this in a local auction, it was auctioned as a "decorative compact mirror".

Unfortunately only part of the leather case survives. The leather is decorated with ornate floral motifs and the back is padded with opulent burgundy velvet.

Please look at the photos and judge the condition for yourself. If you need more close ups, do get in touch.
