This is the famous "UMF Ruhla GARDE" mechanical tournament chess clock. Made in West Germany in the 1960s. This clock is from an earlier and rarer series with a light wood band inlay on the face. The model was first used at the 14th Chess Olympiad held in Leipzig in 1960.
The case of the watch is made of solid mahogany. The surface is covered with a matte lacquer. The back covers and bezels around the dials are made of metal. All the controls of the watch as well as the hands are also made of metal. The movement is made of the highest quality and with guaranteed reliability.
"UMF Ruhla GARDE" is rightly considered one of the best analog chess watches. An indispensable piece for any serious collection.

The watch is in good vintage condition.
