INSTRUCTIONS FOR CULTIVATION OF CARNATION SEEDS:
- Planting land

Carnations can be grown successfully in any type of soil if it is well-drained and in good physical conditions. Carnations prefer light, loose soil with lots of humus, rich in nutrients, well-aerated soil, and good moisture retention. After the rain, it must meet the requirements that the water drains quickly. In dry weather, the soil does not dry out quickly.

- Humidity

Humidity affects plant physiology and leaf transpiration. Low air humidity causes plants to lose water quickly, conversely, too high air humidity is a favorable condition for pathogens to grow, making flower products unsatisfactory in terms of quality. The appropriate humidity for carnations is about 60% - 70%.

- Light

Light is an energy source that helps flower plants metabolize nutrients and create storage parts in the plant. For flower plants, light intensity and lighting time (during the day) greatly affect growth and flowering; low or too high light intensity both have a negative impact on the photosynthesis process. Carnations are light-loving species, with the lowest intensity being 2.15x104 Lux, so they must have enough light to grow well.

- Planting

Carnations are very easy to grow, so you can sprinkle seeds directly into the nursery pot.

For planting in nursery pots, pour soil 2-3 cm from the top of the pot. Sprinkle flower seeds on the surface, space each seed 5-7 cm apart. Then cover with a thin layer of soil and water to keep it moist.

After 5-7 days, carnation seeds will germinate.

- Take care of

Water 1-2 times/day in the early morning or evening. Carnation roots are easily damaged, so only need to be watered in moderation to avoid waterlogging the roots.

When the tree is 5-7cm tall, if you feel the tree is growing too thick, you can thin it so that later mature trees have space to grow.

After about 25-30 days, the young plants will be strong and can be separated and planted in pots.

After the plant has grown for 4 weeks, the tops are broken off for the first time, keeping only 5-6 pairs of leaves.
