A very large late 19th century (c.1887) life-sized folk art wood carving of a Basset Hound called Henri, signed with the artist's initials and dated to the base.

From a French chateau, and would likely originally have sat on a plinth outside, hence the heavily weathered appearance of the wood.  Historic woodworm signs, treated several times.

Truly unique!
