Here is a TERRIFIC 1870s John Wanamaker Sterling Silver Aesthetic 7 1/2" Master Butter Knife Weighing 42.83 GramsTHIS IS A GORGEOUS Early Sterling Butter Knife in EXCELLENT CONDITION. The tip has a small curl, but I did not try to straighten it. Signed with a sterling mark and a Wanamaker mark as shown.  The Wanamaker department store in Philadelphia sold private label sterling silver beginning in 1869.  This is a nice early example with a fantastic aesthetic design.  Monogrammed with a B on the handle as shown. 

Size is 7 1/2 inches long.  Weight is 42.83 grams.
