I haven't been able to find out much about the soldier in the album beyond being able to make an inference that he was in the 4th Indian Infantry Division and later the 231st Independent Infantry Brigade from badges attached into the album. It appears he refers to himself as "self" and leaves out various details that would be known to himself or those close but not to someone else reading it.
