Condition Descriptions

• New - New clubs have never been hit, but are not sold as new as all orders are custom-built for our customers. Examples of these clubs include changed or cancelled orders, or unused returns. New clubs will show extremely minimal or no markings. May or may not still be in the original plastic – condition will state whether or not the head is still in the plastic.
• Mint - Clubs in Mint Condition are nearly indistinguishable from new clubs. They will show almost no wear, and will have been hit at most 1-3 times, if at all.
• Excellent - Clubs in Excellent Condition are estimated to have been used in 4-9 rounds and are in exceptional condition. Some signs of light use may be visible.
• Very Good - Clubs in Very Good Condition will show evidence of having been used in over 10 rounds, but have been well cared for and are still in great shape. They likely have a few scratches visible under the right light.
• Good - Clubs in Good Condition have seen normal play over a greater number of rounds than “Very Good” clubs, but have been cared for and are still above average. They will have some light cosmetic blemishes.
• Fair - Clubs in Fair Condition have seen normal play similar to “Good” clubs, but will have a scratch or ding that precludes them from being rated as highly. Expect to see a scratch or sky mark in addition to normal wear. These are the greatest bargain in our Pre-Owned clubs!

For the player looking for perfect blend of forgiveness and workability in an ultra soft forged iron, the Cavity Back (CB) and Tour Cavity (TC) combo set will offer exactly what you need. The CB, with its undercut technology on the long irons, and the TC, with its moderate forgiveness and trajectory/flight workability, are a perfect tandem.

The 659 CB is the next iteration of our award winning 639 CB. The 659 CB maintains the same head size and offset as the 639, but with additional weight added to the bottom of the club to lower the center of gravity and add forgiveness on off center hits. The long irons (3, 4, and 5 irons) feature undercut technology, which creates a hotter face, better ball speeds, and more distance.

The 659 Tour Cavity, or TC, is a new addition to the Sub 70 iron array. The TC is both a bridge and an elevator, in that it is meant to bridge the gap between the CB and MB, allowing players to create the perfect combination set for their unique game, but also as a standalone set that will elevate one's ball striking and ability to shot make. The 659 TC is, like its brethren the MB and CB, forged and milled from a single billet of DT-4 steel. With some forgiveness built in by virtue of sole design and weighting, but still allowing the high level player to hit all 9 shots on demand, the 659 TC is truly the crowd pleasing middle child of Sub 70's 659 line of irons.
