Rare Find Vintage Alva Museum Ancient Ram's Head Rhyton with Original Acrylic Stand


A rhyton is a type of drinking vessel used in ancient Greece and Rome, typically having the form of an animal's head or a horn. This piece is a 1960's  Authentic, Copywrited, Museum Authorized Replica of the original rhyton on display at the Milwaukee Art Center.

The original rhyton dates back to approximately 400 B.C. It is made of bucchero ware (terracotta blackened by firing) and was made by the Etruscan people of Italy.


This piece weighs 1.660 lbs (without stand & unpackaged) the length is approximately 7-8" (depending on how you measure).
