Listing is for a Retired early small size 2 piece hand painted high quality marble resin box figurine of 3 scary demons & the fires of Hell - New in the original manufacturer's box, sealed in a clear plastic bag, some bubble wrap packaging & booklet.
This is the second box figurine in the Paradoxicals Series, the companion piece to "Paradise Found". Three demons with wings, horns, hands, hairy legs, claws & scaly tails sit back to back above the flames of Hell. One leans on his elbows and sticks his tongue out, another is holding a one-eyed skull and appears to have been bitten by the skull. The third seems spooked by the spook he is holding. At the time of carving, Peter had been browsing through a book of the artist Pieter Brueghel and seems to have been more influenced by his paintings than by the gargoyle stone carvings of English churches. - Website
