Antique Mason Fruit - Cross canning Jar with Zinc Ball Lid with Mason porcelain insert  

In very good condition for its age  

Measures - 7" x 3-1/2" base diameter  

Has numerous bubbles in the glass  Bottom of the jar is embossed 

Reading in large letters: 

       PAT  NOV  26        6  with Number  6, then 

       116 with an embossed bar underneath   

The lip of the jar is rough as per an antique well used canning jar  

Color appears to have a tint of green.  

Color is very light green, not the normal aqua canning jar color

Jar is not the dark aqua normally associated with an aqua canning jar  

This Mason jar has the Medieval symbol of the Cross, with an embossed date of patent Nov 30th 1858 on the front below the cross 

The Ball Zinc lid has a porcelain insert  

On the rim of the insert it reads:
