New BTB model with Light Multi Scale specifications

The Ibanez BTB Boutique Bass is a bass with high specs and expressive power that stimulates the player's sensibilities. Like the SR series, it is one of Ibanez's most historic basses. The deep cutaway shape and through-neck structure provide excellent playability and sustain, and the carefully selected wood and independent bridge structure for each string promise a look and rich tone that embodies the Boutique name.

■LM (Light Multi Scale)

The 1st string side is 34 inches, the same as a regular bass, and the 5th string side is 35 inches for a comfortable Low B. This exquisite 1 inch difference is far from the difficulty of playing that is often associated with multi-scale basses, yet it brings a firm bass sound that cannot be achieved with long scales. In addition, while maintaining the same attention to material selection and construction as the Boutique Bass from which BTB is derived, we aim to create a BTB that is easy for anyone to accept with a design that does not limit the scene or genre and a wide range of sound. This guitar will expand the base of multi-scale basses and increase the options for 5-string basses, setting it apart from conventional BTB models.

■5-piece maple and walnut neck, equipped with graphite reinforcement rod

The 5-piece neck combines maple, which has a clear sound image and rich attack, with hard walnut. The graphite rod installed inside the neck strengthens the rigidity. The neck back is colored in the same color as the body and has the same finish.

■Neck-through body, 34-35 inch multi-scale

The long sustain and rich resonance provided by the through-neck structure, as well as the seamless playing feel of the neck back, are the greatest features of the BTB. The scale is a multi-scale of 35 inches on the 5th string side, which is a characteristic of BTB, and 34 inches on the 1st string side.

The BTB LM model is unique in that it ensures a solid sound even with the thicker gauge bass strings, while minimizing the difference in playing feel compared to a typical long-scale bass.

■Flame maple/ash/okoume laminated wing body

The flame maple top, which shows a different look for each instrument, is laminated with ash and okoume to create a wing body.

■Rosewood fingerboard (with medium stainless steel frets)

Rosewood is the most popular material for fingerboards, and is characterized by its well-balanced sound. The frets are stainless steel, which are characterized by their bright sound quality and high durability.

■Ibanez T1 Pickup

This is a humbucker with two original separate coils designed to provide a tight response in the low range, a punchy midrange, and clear highs.

■MR5S Bridge

This model uses the MR5S (monorail) bridge with a string pitch adjustment mechanism. Each string is an independent bridge, which transmits string vibration directly to the body. In addition, the saddle can be moved 1.5 mm left and right, allowing you to adjust the space between the strings (string pitch) as you like within the movable range.
