Antique Childs Dress
style / period: Regency Georgian / early-mid 19thC / 1830s?
dress: fine cotton lawn / all handmade / hand sewn. Ayrshire whitework embroidery to bodice, sleeve tops & skirt, hems / edges are embroidered, 4 pin tuck frills to sleeves, wide neckline, 2 hooks & eyes to fasten at back waist
measurements: shoulder to hem approx. 22"
waist approx. 10" (edge to edge measured flat)
chest approx. 11 & 1/2" (underarm, pit to pit measured flat)
condition: true antique / vintage / pre-owned / used, sold as shown for repair / restoration
signs of age / wear / storage commensurate with great age. eg. yellowing to cotton, brown spots & stains (see pic.s with £1 coin shown to give scale / example), needs a stitch or 3 to waistband... nothing career ending, it's still an absolute delight!
