VG - VG+.  1937 Scribners, first edition (with “A” + colophon + date on title page).  Hardcover with new facsimile dust jacket.  True first edition, and basis for wonderful 1944 Howard Hawks film version starring Humphrey Bogart, and introducing the incomparable Lauren Bacall (at just 19 years of age).  One other interesting aspect of the film version is the screenplay, which was co-written by a couple of heavyweights (William Faulkner and Leigh Brackett).
