Old SIAM Sterling Silver Compact-Vishnu-105g

DESCRIPTION:

Vintage compact.

Sterling silver.  Round.  Button release.  Mirror inside lid.  Latching powder cover.  Black oxidized exterior finish with finely engraved figures front and back.  Front:  20-armed deity.  Back:  dancer.   All original.

Maker's marks:  "Sterling 925 - Made in Siam".

1930s I believe.  Siam.  

CONDITION:

Very good original condition.  No damage and no significant wear.  No restorations / repairs.   

Used, not abused.

No dings, dents, scuffs, cracks, splits, bends, breaks, creases.  No significant scratches or rubs.  

No damage to the mirror.  No significant spotting or hazing to the mirror.        

The compact latches securely and releases as designed.  The powder cover latches securely with no issues.  The hinges are in excellent condition with no issues.    

Some light typical use- / handling-related wear to the exterior:  scattered fine superficial scratches and rubs.  Nothing significant or conspicuous. 

Old patina as found.  Typical age-related oxidation.
