FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE....!

 

Found in an estate liquidation on the island of Madeira in Portugal, that of a retired antiques dealer.

From an elaborate wall display of Portuguese pottery plates, two patterned leaf plates.

One in a traditional emerald green and the other in a seldom seen chartreuse coloration.

These are marked with the older incised stamp of the Bordallo Pineheiro factory in Portugal, made in the mid 1900s.

They measure 7 3/4 inches in diameter and are probably luncheon plates.

I inserted a standard size playing card in one poto as a reference for size.

Both plates as a lot.
