Description:  It is an authentic antique map approximately 182 years old with original hand coloring as issued. It is from an 1834 edition of Thomas Starling's Geographical Annual or The Family Cabinet Atlas: Specially Patronized by their Most Gracious Majesties, William IV and Adelaide. Starling both designed and engraved the plates, which were published in London by Mr. [Edward] Bull, Halles Street, Cavendish Square, as stated in the bottom center margin. Starling's name appears on the map in the title block and the publishing details are in the bottom center margin. Also included is a facsimile copy of the title page and the original index page which has a similar decorative border with the coordinates of cities and places found on the map. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. Overall, a nicely designed and detailed miniature antique map with strong original color that would frame up beautifully!
Size: The image area measures approximately 3 1/2 by 5 3/4 inches (9x15cm) on a page measuring 4 1/4 by 7 3/4" (11x17cm).
Condition: The map is in Good to Very Good condition, blank on reverse with original hand coloring as issued. It is basically as seen in the pics with darkening around the edges, slight crimping on the binding edge and some light handling in the margin, otherwise the map image is very clean, see the pic for more on condition. The pic is of the actual map.
