Epson V800 Photo Scanner. Mint condition with all original packaging and included accessories.

I'm the original and sole owner - bought it new at B&H Photo Video, kept it in absolutely pristine condition. It's had very little use, two of the four film holders are even still sealed - I've only used the 120 holder and 35mm strip holder. Unit is clean and free of scratches. Tested it today May 2nd, 2024 - see screenshot where there's a test scan of a Macbeth chart with today's NY Times web cover page. All photos are of the actual scanner for sale in its current condition.

Included:
The V800 scanner
35mm film strip holder
120 film strip holder
35mm mounted slide holder (still sealed)
4x5" film holder (still sealed)
AC power cord
USB cable
Starter CD and pamphlets (just go to the Epson site and download drivers and Epson Scan software (it's free) for your current OS. You can get fancy if you want and run it off paid software like Silverfast or Vuescan, or just use Epson's free software. If you're wondering if it'll run from USB-C ports, no problem. Just tested it using an el cheapo brand USB to USB-C adapter on my MacBook Pro - works perfectly. I'd include one but I couldn't find a spare, so just the original regular USB cable.

Things to note:
There are two lock switches for shipping the unit without damage. I've switched them to lock position. You'll need to switch them back before use.
Make sure you read up about settings, read the instructions, etc. There are some things that aren't immediately obvious, for example sometimes you need to use the included black plastic bar thingy on the bottom glass if you want to get the whole scan area. I forget exactly, but I think I needed to use it when I was doing digital contact sheets of 120 6x6 sleeved film, to get the whole area in transmission mode.
Also, the film holders have little adjustable feet in the corners that change the film height by small increments to account for variations in focus from unit to unit. You should experiment with these.

If you want to scan 8x10" film, Ben Horne has instructions and a downloadable template here:

If you want to read a really nerdy 3rd party write-up on the V800 with objective resolution testing and such, go here:
https://www.filmscanner.info/en/EpsonPerfectionV800Photo.html
That site also did a write up on the V850 producing exactly the same but not better quality as the V800, which is why I went with this model. It's really a fantastic film scanner for the price. Obviously does a good job of scanning prints too.

I've packed the Epson box you see inside a larger box for shipping protection. It's pretty bulky and about 25lb all boxed up, so that's why shipping is kinda expensive. I've chosen FedEx Ground / FedEx Home Delivery - it's actually cheaper than USPS at this size and weight.

Will ship same or next business day. Signature WILL BE required for release - redirect it to your nearest FedEx pickup location if you won't be home.
