The drawing, executed in pen, ink and watercolors on 19th century paper, depicts a historical scene in a Roman city.  Could this scene shows the death of Messalina, the adulterous wife of emperor Claudius ?

Authorship : the sheet is from the French Neoclassical School, signed right below "F .....".

Period : the drawing is dated (right below) in the year "1835".

Size : 19,4x21cm.

Condition : Good.   Some scattered dirt throughout.  Unframed.
