Vintage
Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell
180 Louisville
Slugger Flame Tempered
Grand Slam
Store Model Baseball Bat
The legend himself – Jeff
Bagwell - was one of those rare players that played his entire career with one
team – in this case, the Houston Astros. Bagwell was a First Baseman from 1991
to 2005. He was a 4x All-Star, NL MVP 1994, NL Rookie of the Year 1991, Gold
Glove winner 1994, and 3x Silver Slugger Award winner. He was inducted into the
National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017.
This is a great vintage Jeff
Bagwell bat that is in very good-excellent condition. Some surface wear overall
including evidence of use, ball marks, indentations, and cleat-type marks
around the barrel. No cracks evident. Nice wood grain and patina. End of barrel
is hollowed out – Can see lathe mark. Would look fantastic restored!
The lettering and engraving
is in decent shape with some minor fading. It measures 31.75 inches long and
weighs 26.9oz. “2” marked on the knob.
I would likely date this
bat to the mid to late 1990s. A great piece that would make a nice addition to
any great memorabilia collection.
