Yusuke Urai, who is feared to be the strongest delinquent at Sarayashiki Junior High School, is killed in a car accident one day while trying to save a child.
However, Yusuke's death is an unexpected event for the spirit world, and Yusuke fulfills his mission as a spirit world detective to solve cases caused by creatures from the other world in the human world as a trial to come back to life in the human world.
Yusuke is resurrected in the human world, and together with his rival and best friend Kuwabara, and the monsters Kurama and Tobikage, who became his friends after the battle, he is caught up in a major battle that involves the human, spirit, and demon worlds.
