This is a used YAMAHA BBⅧ/BB8.
The BBⅧ is a legendary instrument that was only sold for one year, starting in 1985, as the upper model of the BBⅦ.
Featuring two split type pickups, it delivers a straight and punchy sound different from the BB3000 or BB2000, making it stand out in the BB series.
It incorporates high-spec features suitable for upper models of the BB series, such as luxurious gold parts, 1 Volume/1 Tone control, and an alder body with a maple neck.
You can feel its solid construction when you play it.
Despite being over 30 years old, it not only produces sound but also is in quite good condition. Apart from minor dents and scratches, there are no significant damages.
The truss rod still seems to have some room for adjustment, and there isn't much fret wear.
Although the weight was measured using a household scale and may not be entirely accurate, it was around 3.9kg.
