Victorian Antique Eastlake Cast Iron Ceiling Hook 5 1/4” Long Pat. 1872 W/ Base.

Here is an amazing find. This came from a private collection. This could be New Old Stock. It certainly looks like it’s never been used. However, it has a hard enamel-like black metallic finish. Could be reconditioned.

It has its original base plate patented April 23, 1872. You see plenty of these hooks, but NEVER the base plates.
