Selmer USA AS100 alto saxophone

This is an AS100 model alto saxophone right after Selmer USA Omega (Omega), which is also known as the last American cell.

The serial number is 829xxx and it is the last model that looks and sounds like an Omega. The thumb hook has been an Ishimori Instruments one since purchase. (It has been confirmed by Ishimori Wind Instruments that it is from Ishimori.)

We purchased it about 10 years ago.

I liked the tone of this one, which is brighter than the early/mid Omega, and the sweet tone characteristic of Omega is maintained.

I also own an Ameser Mark 6, but this instrument has a unique vintage sound different from the original Selmer, and I feel it has power similar to modern instruments.

It has not been overhauled since I purchased it, but I have been using it as my main instrument for several years and have been adjusting it regularly. The last adjustment was at the beginning of October 2023.

I think it would be better to have it overhauled in order to use it in perfect condition.

The case is a Selmer Series 3 case shown in the photos, but this case is not included.

Repairs and other maintenance should be done by the individual.
