Step 1 - Adjust the bubble Place the unit on a level surface and see where the bubble is, and then to center the bubble, there is 3 screws around the bubble head, adjust these screw as required to center the bubble.
Step 2 - Mark the position Gently place the tire on the unit, if the bubble is offset, place the wheel weight at the corresponding position until the bubble moves to the center position and then mark the position.
Step 3 - Add the wheel weights With the marked position, place the wheel weight until the bubble moves to the center position, and secure the wheel weights to the rim.
Operation
1. Assemble the wheel balancer, view the circular bubble level at the top of the head. Ensure the bubble rests in the middle of the black circle before using the balancer.
(The bubble on the wheel balancer is mounted at the top of the head assembly cone with 3 adjusting screws. Turn one of the screws downward and the bubble moves away from that screw.)
2. Remove the tire and wheel from the vehicle. Clean off any debris from the inside/underside of the rim. Check the hub hole on the rim to ensure that it is clean to allow for uniform seating on the balancer cone.
(There is an out of balance condition when the heavy side of the tire / wheel causes the bubble to move outside the black circle in the opposite directions from the heavy side. Place a weight on the light side of the rim closest to the bubble. If the first weight does not bring the bubble back to the middle of the black circle, then try a larger (heavier) wight. or a smaller (lighter) weight to bring the bubble into the middle of the circle.)
3.Remove the tire/wheel from the balancer and place the proper amount of weight needed equally on both sides of the wheel. For example, if it requires a total of 3 ounces to balance the wheel, attach a 1-1/2 oz weight on the top of the wheel rim, and anothel 1-1/2 oz weight on the underside of the rim at the same location.
